Cattleya rex semi-alba #3656 x self (approximately 25 seedlings per flask). The Species: This grows in Peru and Colombia at elevations from 2300 to 3950 ft elevation. It usually grows in wet mountain forest high up on branches of tall trees. The inflorescence has 3 to 10 flowers that are 5 tp 7” across. Culture: I grow these in my warm greenhouse with mid 60’s winter minimum and summer highs in the low 80’s. The rain is moderate in the summer season and a bit less frequent in the winter. The plants should have their roots dry between watering, but they are never dry for an extended period of time. Parent: Cattleya rex semi-alba |
