Speakers Fee: A stipend of $200. (Some societies customarily offer more and I would be happy to accept.) There are many, many hours of preparation behind a successful orchid presentation. Also, in order to travel to give presentations, I have to take time off from work. The stipend helps to compensate me for this expenditure of my time.

Travel Expenses: I request to be reimbursed for out-of-pocket expenses. If I am flying, I always book economy on the least expensive flight available (without too many stops). I also have to pay $13 per day for parking near the airport (that is less expensive than taking a shuttle or airport bus). For societies within driving distance, some societies are now paying $0.48 per mile, but I usually leave that up to the discretion of the individual society.

Lodging: I am happy to stay in a member's home if I can have a room where cats and dogs do not spend time.

Opportunity Table: If your society wants a "Raffle Table" I can usually provide one from my collection. About $8 to $10 per plant is the average rate these days.

Plant Sales: If your members are interested, I can bring plants for sale. Also, I am happy to take orders from my web site for delivery at the meeting.
